Dia De Los Muertos Community Celebration of Life

Sunday, October 27th 10am-4pm

Join us for our 20th Annual Día de los Muertos celebration, an incredible milestone event of culture and creativity proudly hosted by La Parada and Farm & Table. For two decades, our family has dedicated itself to honoring this rich cultural holiday, bringing the community together to celebrate the lives of all of our loved ones.

This family-friendly event features:

  • 40+ Local Artisan Vendors 10am-4pm: Explore all the booths showcasing the work of our community’s talented artists and makers. Featuring a wide variety of handmade textiles, pottery, jewelry, and so much more. The talented face painter will transform you into a work of art to fully embrace the spirit of Día de los Muertos.
  • Pet Blessing Ceremony at 11am: A special ceremony to honor our beloved pets, reflecting the importance of all family members—two-legged and four-legged.
  • Festival Food and Drinks 11am-3:30pm: Enjoy a tasty array of food from Sanchez Tacos and Sentli, offering options for everyone, including vegan options. Pair your meal with refreshing beer and wine and a treat from Farm & Table.
  • Sugar Skull Decorating Workshop 12-4pm: Get creative in our hands-on workshop where you can decorate your own sugar skull (free mini sugar skulls for the first 100 people). It’s a fun make and take activity for all ages.
  • Live Music 12-3pm: Don’t miss the infectious rhythms of Proyecto Cumbión. Their energetic performances will have everyone dancing and celebrating together.
  • Mariachis and Cake at 3pm: The talented Mariachi San Jose band from Albuquerque High School will serenade La Parada to celebrate 20 years in business. Mariachis and birthday cake will create a festive atmosphere that resonates with joy and remembrance.
  • Community Ofrenda/Altar 12-4pm: Participate by bringing a photo of your loved one for the community ofrenda. You can also bring their favorite drink or food item to place on the altar

As we commemorate 20 years of this beloved event, we invite you to join us in honoring those who have passed while fostering community and culture. We look forward to celebrating with you and continuing this cherished tradition!
